Boxers are a medium-built, strong breed of dog that recieved its name from the habit of standing on the hind legs to fight or play and boxing with the front paws. They also "box" with their heads, resembling a prize fighter sparring in the ring.

Boxers are working dogs. The American Kennel Club (AKC) categorizes Boxer Dogs as the largest breed registered in the "working dog" category.

They're always alert and watchful, definitely an instinctive guard dog, but also a cozy housedog that is sensitive to temperature extremes.

Boxers are great companions, handsome, protective, expressive, and most of all, FUN!
